Lina Zhou

Lina Zhou is a professor in the Department of Business Information Systems and Operations Management (BISOM) in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. Her research interests span the areas of social media analytics, deception detection, knowledge management, biomedical informatics, and intelligent mobile interface. Prior to joining UNC Charlotte, Zhou held a professorship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a research scientist position at the University of Arizona. She has published articles in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Journal of Management Information Systems, Communications of the ACM, ACM Transaction, IEEE Transactions, Information and Management, and Decision Support Systems. Her research has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation, among others. She received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Peking University.
